Carrying a heavy load
I see a break, behold
The road becomes two
Left or right is my inquisition
Now I tell you my position
I know to what is my decision
I will choose one
Left is wide and straight and clear
Right is crowded and full of fear
Hard is better, is what I hear
But I’m weak
I turn left and start the way
And I think to myself “what a pretty day”
I decide on this path to stay
Everything’s all right
Farther down this lonesome path
I begin feeling full of wrath
Then I start to do my math
Time for a hiatus
I lay down to go to sleep
In my dreams I slightly weep
When I wake, my soul I’ll keep
I turn around
Back to the break in the road
Still carrying now a heavier load
I choose the right, behold
I feel fear
As I walk this narrower trail
My fear is yet about to prevail
I know I must not fail
I push on
Through the brush I see a sight
Oh my God, what a light
What is this, I feel no fright
It is the end
The comfort I feel is overpowering
The load that I bear is now lowering
Surprisingly I feel not like cowering
I am enthralled.
